Colonel Hugh Kenneth BLABER CBE98 was born on 22 August 1899 in Brondesbury, London, England.432,611,612,613,614 He lived at 34 Cromwell Street in Hove, East Sussex, England in 1901.200 At the 1901 census, Hugh was living with his grand-parents, William and Elizabeth Blaber. He lived at Lauriston, 70 Shoot-up-Hill in Hampstead, London, England in 1911.442 Hugh served in the Army from about 1917.467,615,616,617 Hugh trained at Wellington Cadet College and was made a 2nd Lieutenant on 31st January 1918. On 4th February 1918 Hugh was admitted to the Indian Army on the approval of the King. On 31st January 1919 he was promoted to Lieutenant. In 1928 at his marriage to Hilma, Hugh was a Captain in the Indian Army. He was then a Second Lieutenant, 1/70th Burma Rifles, Indian Army. Later, he was a Colonel in H.M. Army, and was awarded the CBE.
He lived at at Earl's Hotel, Grosvenor in London, England in 1928.618 He died in 1976 at the age of 77 in Berkshire, England.613,619

She emigrated on 4 November 1927 to Rangoon, Burma.626 She sailed 1st Class from Liverpool on board the 'Lancashire'. She was unaccompanied. Hilma died in 1995 at the age of 88 in Uckfield, East Sussex, England.623
