Colonel Hugh Kenneth BLABER CBE⁸⁶ was born on 22 August 1899 in Brondesbury, London, England.^{380,518,519,520,521} He lived at 34 Cromwell Street in Hove, East Sussex, England in 1901.¹⁶⁹ At the 1901 census, Hugh was living with his grand-parents, William and Elizabeth Blaber. He lived at Lauriston, 70 Shoot-up-Hill in Hampstead, London, England in 1911.³⁸⁸ Hugh served in the Army .⁴⁰⁵ In 1928 at his marriage to Hilma, Hugh was a Captain in the Indian Army. He was then a Second Lieutenant, 1/70th Burma Rifles, Indian Army. Later, he was a Colonel in H.M. Army, and was awarded the CBE. He died in 1976 at the age of 77 in Berkshire, England.^520,522

Colonel Hugh Kenneth BLABER CBE and Hilma Wells BIGELOW were married on 21 July 1928 at St George's Church, Hanover Square in Westminster, London, England.^380,522,523 Their marriage was witnessed by Maurice W BIGELOW (Hima's father); Hilda BIGELOW (Hilma's mother); P L BLABER (Hugh's father) and Effie BLABER (Hugh's mother). They^380,522,523 were divorced.⁵²⁴ Hilma Wells BIGELOW⁸⁶, daughter of Maurice Wells BIGELOW and Hilda Tatham , was born on 15 May 1907 in Marylebone, London, England.^380,524,525 She lived at 35a Welbeck Street in London, England in 1907.⁵²⁶ She was christened on 9 June 1907 at St George's Church, Hanover Square in London, England.⁵²⁶ Hilma emigrated in 1910 to New York City, New York, USA.⁵²⁷ She travelled from Liverpool to New York City on the 'Baltic'. We do not have a copy of the Passenger List, only a transcript. She lived at 52 Queen Anne Street, Cavendish Square in London, England between 1927 and 1928.^380,528 She is recorded on the Passenger List as a USA citizen. She emigrated on 4 November 1927 to Rangoon, Burma.⁵²⁸ She sailed 1st Class from Liverpool on board the 'Lancashire'. She was unaccompanied.
