He was granted the Honorary Rank of Lieutenant on 17th July 1918. He was awarded an annual pension of £122-10s until 1st January 1919. This was reduced to £70 pa on 2nd January 1919 through to 7th July 1919. He was re-assessed for a pension on 13 August 1919 and awarded £70 per year. He attended a Medical Board on 12 September 1919 and was considered to be temporarily disabled by 40%. He attended another Medical Board in Paris 19 June 1920, still suffering from strain and shell concussion and considered to be 30% disabled, though not permanently. He was awarded the Victory and British Medals in 1921. He entered his Occupation as "Officer, HM Forces" on his Marriage Certificate on 24 January 1918.
