Montague BLABER was born about 1883 in Cuckfield, West Sussex, England.^443,444,445 He lived at Riseholme in Cuckfield, West Sussex, England in 1891.²⁰³ He lived at Clytha House, 15 Southdown Road in New Shoreham, Sussex, England in 1901.¹⁹⁷ In 1901 Montague was a Pupil Land Agent? (census entry is obscured - difficult to read accurately).¹⁹⁷ After 1901 he was a Chartered Surveyor and Auctioneer in Hailsham, East Sussex, England.^204,446 Montague had a thriving business as Auctioneer, Land Agent and Valuer until WW1. He returned to continue his business after the war. He served in France and Belgium in the Army between 1914 and 1918.²⁰⁴ He served in the Royal Garrison Artillery. He was hospitalised on 26 January 1918 at 83 General Hospital, Boulogne, with a "fever of unknown origin (severe)". Montague died in February 1922 at the age of 39 in Peasmarsh, East Sussex, England.^204,447,448 Montague went missing in February 1922, although Probate Documents record that he was last seen alive on 10 January 1922. His body was found in a lake at Place House Estate, Peasmarsh on 6 March 1922. The inquest held on 7 March 1922 returned an Open Verdict. He had not been robbed as he still had £50 in his wallet and his half-hunter watch (still owned by Stephen J M Blaber). He had his estate probated on 4 April 1922 in London, England.⁴⁴⁸ Montague left the princely sum of £5194 16s. 4d. to his widow Augusta. He was buried on 22 April 1922 in Hailsham, East Sussex, England.²⁰⁴

She died in 1960 at the age of 79 in Cuckfield, West Sussex, England.⁴⁵⁵
