Dr Harry Patrick BLABER Jr¹¹⁸ was born in 1904 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.^{33,567,578,579,580} He lived at 449 54th Street in Brooklyn, New York, USA in 1920.⁴⁷⁸ He was educated at Long Island College Hospital Medical School and received his medical degree in 1928 in Long Island, New York, USA.⁵⁸¹ In 1930 Harry was an Interne/Hospital Doctor in Brooklyn, New York, USA.^479,581,582 He lived at Hospital at 121 Dekalb Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, USA in 1930.⁵⁸² Harry appears twice in the 1930 census. He lived at 472 50th Street in Brooklyn, New York, USA in 1930.⁴⁷⁹ Harry lived at Kongmoon in China from 1930 to 1938.^583,584 Harry established a leper colony in Sun Wui (now Xin Hui), China. During this time he worked for, or was associated with, the US-based Catholic missionary society - Maryknoll.
From The Toronto Star Newspaper, Edition 14 December 1934: "When Dr and Mrs Harry Blaber of New York complete their honeymoon in Connecticut, they will leave for the leper colony at Sun Wui, China. Dr Blaber established the colony and he takes back his wife, the girl he met while an interne in a Brooklyn hospital seven years ago." He died on 20 January 1961 at the age of 57 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.^33,567,581 He died in Brooklyn Hospital.
A copy of his Obituary in the New York Times editon of 22 January 1961 is held by John A Blaber. He was buried in St Charles' Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York, USA.^567,585 The funeral and Requiem Mass was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church.

Catholic Mission Doctor to Wed Ex-Conn. Girl
The wedding of Dr Harry P Blaber and Miss Constance White, believed to be the first Catholic foreign mission marriage in America, will take place at St Ambrose's Church, Brooklyn, next Wednesday morning.
Dr Blaber, who was an interne in the Brooklyn Hospital, left in 1930 for five-years service in China, becoming one of the few Catholic lay doctors in the mission filed. In the last three years he has built up the Sacred Heart Hospital in Kongmoon Vicariate, near Hong Kong, from a one-room hut with five tubercular patients to a 30-bed hospital caring for 6000 patients a year. Dr Blaber also has been in charge of the medical camp of 250 lepers in Kongmoon, spending every week-end there.
Miss White, blonde and petite, is the daughter of Anthony White of Naugatuck, Conn. She is a nurse at the Brooklyn Hospital.
Father Louis Blaber, an uncle of Dr Blaber, and pastor of St Ambrose's Church, will celebrate the nuptial mass. Miss Ann White, sister of the bride, will be bridesmaid. Leo Blaber will be his brother's best man. Dr Blaber will return in February to his mission work in China with his bride. They^33,586,587 lived at 521 59th Street in Brooklyn, New York, USA in 1960.⁵⁸¹ In 1935 Constance WHITE, daughter of Anthony WHITE and Unknown , was a Nurse in Brooklyn, New York, USA.⁵⁸⁷ She emigrated in February 1936 to China.⁵⁸⁸ Constance moved to China, where Harry was already living, after their marriage in Brooklyn.
