Obituary: TEMPLETON - Frederick "Fred" M. Blaber, 49, of 733 Baldwinville Road, Baldwinville, died Sept. 4 in University of Massachusetts Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 23 years, Gwendolyn (Heath) Blaber; two sons, Richard Tanksley of Dover, N.H., and Mathias Sai Blaber of Baldwinville; two daughters, Amma Tanksley of Ithaca, N.Y., and Dionza K. Blaber of Baldwinville; three grandchildren; and many relatives living in Ghana. He was born in Accra, Ghana, son of Henry and Florence (Palm) Blaber, and came to the U.S. in 1973 and to Worcester in 1974, moving to Gardner in 1976.
Mr. Blaber was a machine operator at Harrington & Richardson Arms Co., now the New England Firearms Co. in Gardner. Prior to that, he worked at Simplex Time Recorder Co. in Gardner and for the Erving Paper Mill in Baldwinville.
Mr. Blaber was an accomplished sketch artist and avid soccer fan.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home."
The USA Social Security Death Index has his death recorded as 15th September 1966, but as his obituary appears in the 12 September edition of this newspaper, that is clearly incorrect. Frederick was buried on 7 September 1996 in Hope Cemetery, Worcester, MA, USA.1

Frederick M BLABER and Gwendolyn HEATH were married about 1973.1 Gwendolyn HEATH1, daughter of Robert L HEATH and Mattie F HINES, was born on 18 October 1949.3 She died on 4 September 2003 at the age of 53 in Baldwinville, Worcester, MA, USA.3
