William died on 2 June 1856 at the age of 43 at the Easthampstead Union Workshouse in Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.72,73

Thomas BLABER was born about 1820 in Woodmansterne, Surrey, England.74 He was christened on 30 July 1820 at St Peter's Church in Woodmansterne, Surrey, England.58 He was a Labourer.74 Thomas served in the Army .75 Thomas was a member of 2nd Battalion Rifle Brigade, but deserted from Woolwich on 13 October 1838, aged 20. It is, however, likely that he was actually aged 18. He was Court Marshalled on 29 October 1838 and sentenced to 40 days imprisonment. His sentence would have expired on 7 December 1838, but he was released by order on 1 December 1838. He weighed 11 stone 6 lbs at the commencement of his sentence and lost 4 lbs during his incarceration. He had to pay 16s 6d for his subsistence during his imprisonment!
