Sidney Francis BLABER was born on 20 July 1896 at Aldrington in Hove, East Sussex, England.^{2621,2622,2623,2624,2625,2626,2627} He lived at 65 Cowper Street in Hove, East Sussex, England in 1901.¹⁴⁰⁹ He lived at 34 Shakespeare Street in Hove, East Sussex, England in 1911.¹⁴¹⁰ In April 1911 Sidney was a News Boy.¹⁴¹⁰ From 18 September 1911 to 9 October 1914 he was a Porter in Chichester, West Sussex, England.^1414,2627 His wages were 18 shillings per week. He was described as 5'-7.1/4" tall; grey eyes; brown hair on 13 October 1914.¹⁴¹⁴ Sidney was Baptist on 13 October 1914.¹⁴¹⁴ He served in the Army between 14 October 1914 and 27 November 1914.¹⁴¹⁴ He enlisted in the Royal Army Medical Corp. His Service Number was 45543 and served in the 38th Field Ambulance Regiment. He enlisted in October 1914 and after 44 days in the army he was discharged as 'medically unfit', by virtue of having 'flat feet, causing inability to march. Physical development poor. Small varicose veins causing pain'.
In 1916 he was a Goods Porter.²⁶²⁵ Sidney served in the Royal Navy from 22 May 1916 to 28 August 1916.^1414,2628 He was a Stoker, 2nd Class. His service number was K33275. He was awarded a War Badge 22 January 1917. It is interesting that he was not fit enough to serve in the army, but fit enough for the navy! However, he only lasted 3 months in the navy when he was invalided out (difficult to read the record but believed to have tuberculosis).
From 3 April 1917 he was a Porter in Newhaven, East Sussex, England.²⁶²⁷ He lived at 5 Payne Avenue in Hove, East Sussex, England in 1920–1921.^1415,2629 In 1921 Sidney was a Farm Worker.²⁶²⁹ He emigrated on 6 December 1921 to Australia.²⁶²⁹ He sailed on the 'Moreton Bay' from London to Melbourne. In 1936 he was a Zincworker.²⁶³⁰ In 1954 Sidney was a Pipe Cleaner.²⁶³¹ He died on 17 January 1969 at the age of 72 at Hobart in Tasmania, Australia. He was also known as Sydney Francis Blaber.

Sidney Francis BLABER and Cleftie Phyllis Louise JENKINS were married. They lived at 19 Burrows Avenue in Moonah, Franklin, Tasmania, Australia in 1928.²⁶³² They²⁶³² lived at Agricola Street in Glenorchy, Franklin, Tasmania, Australia in 1936.²⁶³⁰ Sidney and Cleftie²⁶³⁰ lived at 105 Central Avenue in Moonah, Franklin, Tasmania, Australia in 1954.²⁶³¹ Cleftie Phyllis Louise JENKINS, daughter of Edward Charles JENKINS and Fanny Ellen RAYMOND, was born on 14 June 1896 in Victoria Valley, Tasmania, Australia.²⁶³³ She died on 17 August 1989 at the age of 93 in Australia.
