170. Dorothy Kathleen BLABER was born on 3 February 1914 in Lewes, East Sussex, England.^664,846 In 1939 she was a Draper's Assistant.⁶⁶⁴ She died on 7 June 1951 at the age of 37 at Woolwich Hospital in Woolwich, Kent, England.⁶⁶⁶ Sussex Express & County Herald - 15 June 1951
"MRS R HEATH
The death occurred in hospital at Woolwich, on Thursday last week, of Mrs Dorothy Kathleen Heath, wife of Mr Reginald Heath, of Firle, and eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C P BLABER, of 12 Landport Road, Lewes. She was 37, and was born in Lewes, where she was educated. Mrs Heath served during the war in the Women's Land Army. She was a member of the Lewes Christian Alliance of Women and Girls and of the Ancient Order of Foresters. She had been married 6½ years and leaves a husband and one little son.
After their marriage, Mr and Mrs Heath (Mr Heath's home is at Carshalton, Surrey) went to live near Horsham, but for the past few months they have been living at Firle.
The funeral took place at Firle Church on Tuesday. The service was conducted by the Vicar (the Rev F B R Browne). The chief mourners were Mr Reginald Heath (widower), Mr and Mrs C P BLABER (father and mother), Mr T BLABER, Miss P BLABER and Mr E BLABER (brothers and sister), Mr and Mrs G Denham and Mr John Heath (brothers-in-law and sister), Mr and Mrs Hallacy and Mrs P BLABER (brother-in-law and sisters-in-law), Mr and Mrs H E BLABER (uncle and aunt), Messrs R and A Burgess, East Grinstead (cousins), Mrs A Heath, of Barnes Green, Mrs A Freeman, Mrs F Freeman and Mrs Newnham (aunts), Miss I Platt and members of the Lewes CAWG with many other friends also attended. There was a large number of floral tributes."
Dorothy was buried on 12 June 1951 in Firle, Sussex, England, United Kingdom.⁶⁶⁶
