26. Edward Ernest BLABER⁴⁶ was born on 10 August 1866 in Brighton, East Sussex, England.^{265,266,267,268,269,270,271} He was born at 7 Queen's Place, Brighton. The birth certificate of Edward Ernest clearly states that his mother was Mrs Emma Adelaide BLABER nee PARKER. However, we have been unable to find any record of a marriage between David and Emma.
He lived at 7 Queens Place in Brighton, East Sussex, England between 1866 and 1881.^46,165 In 1881 he was a Light Porter.⁴⁶ In 1885 Edward was an Insurance Agent.²⁶⁶ In 1889 he was a Railway Factory Labourer.²⁷² In 1891 he was a Painter's Labourer.²⁷³ In 1894 Edward was a Carriage Lifter at Railway Factory.²⁷⁴ Between 1896 and 1900 he was a Railway Labourer.^275,276 In 1901–1911 he was a Railway Carriage Inspector/Examiner.^{277,278,279,280,281} Edward died in 1912 at the age of 46 in Chichester, West Sussex, England.^277,278,282

Edward Ernest BLABER and Alice RYAN were married on 13 August 1885 in Brighton Registry Office, East Sussex, England.²⁸³ The marriage was witnessed by: Joseph Albert Buddle and Emma Linfield (Edward's mother - remarried). Edward was stated as aged 21 on the Marriage Certificate, but it is clear from his certified Birth Certificate that he was in fact only 19 years and 3 days old at his marriage. They^²⁸³ lived at 35 London Street in Brighton, East Sussex, England between 1885 and 1900.^{272,273,274,275,276} Many records indicate that they lived at 35 London Street until 1900. However, the newspaper report of the death of baby Alfred Ernest BLABER (q.v.) indicates that they were living at Bridge Cottages, Lyminster as early as 1895. They^{^{272,273,274,275,276}} lived at Bridge Cottages, Ford Junction, in Lyminster, West Sussex, England in 1901.²⁸⁰ Edward and Alice^²⁸⁰ lived at 40 Gloucester Place in Littlehampton, West Sussex, England in 1911–1912.²⁸¹ Alice RYAN, daughter of John RYAN, was born on 25 May 1864 in New Cross, London, England.^{266,284,285,286,287} In 1885 she was a Domestic Servant.²⁶⁶ She lived at 72 Elder Street in Brighton, East Sussex, England before 13 August 1885.²⁶⁶ Alice lived at 20 McKerrell Road in Camberwell, Surrey, England in 1930.²⁸⁸ She lived at 19 Edric Road in Deptford, Kent, England in 1939.²⁸⁷ She died in 1944 at the age of 80 in Greenwich, London, England.²⁸⁹

He died on 8 April 1895 at the age of 0 in Preston, Brighton, East Sussex, England.^293,294 Report in The Sussex Express, Page 5, Saturday 13th April 1895: FORD "DEATH OF AN INFANT On Wednesday afternoon Mr A W Rawlison, coroner for West Sussex, held an inquest at the Railway Hotel on the body of the infant son of Alfred Ernest BLABER. - Alice BLABER, wife of Ernest BLABER, of Bridge Cottages, Lyminster, and mother of the child, said deceased had been a delicate baby, and had fits when a fortnight old. On Thursday last deceased had a cold, and witness took it to the Children's Hospital, Brighton, where Dr Chaffey prescribed for it. Witness applied poultices and rubbed it with oil, as directed.On Monday morning, about seven, the child had a fit. She took it downstairs and it died shortly afterwards. Mr William Christopher Loos, surgeon and physician, of Littlehampton, saw the deceased on Monday morning, about 9 o'clock. He had made a post-mortem examination, and attributed death to convulsions, accelerated by congestion of the lungs. The jury returned a verdict accordingly."

Dorothy died in May 1997 at the age of 99 in Surrey, England.²⁹⁷

She died in October 1986 at the age of 88 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.³⁰¹
