Caroline lived at 5 Clifton Place in Brighton, East Sussex, England in 1881.33 After the death of husband John, Caroline's niece Caroline BLABER moved in as her Cook. There was also another resident General Servant, Emily HAMBLIN (30). Caroline was probably ill or frail as she died 9 months later. Although the 1881 Census and Probate Documents show that Caroline is now resident at No 5 Clifton Place, it is clear from the residents' names in adjoining properties that Caroline has NOT moved. The houses must have been re-numbered.
