Samuel John BLABER34,35,36 was born on 1 November 1756.37,38 He was christened on 2 November 1756 in All Saints' Church, Lewes, East Sussex, England.37 He was a Shoemaker.39 Samuel died in 1823 at the age of 67. He was buried on 4 August 1823 in Christ Church, Epsom, Surrey, England.40,41 Samuel and family feature prominently in the will of Mary Clifford:

December the 8th 1818
I Mary Clifford of the City of Gloucester do hereby make this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to William Greame Blaber of Epsom Surry son of Samuel Blaber of the same place one hundred pounds. I also give and bequeath to Benjamin Samuel Blaber son of the aforesaid Samuel Blaber one hundred pounds. I also give and bequeath to John Blaber son of the same Samuel Blaber one hundred pounds. I also give and bequeath to Edward Blaber one hundred pounds four sons of the foresaid Samuel Blaber cordwainer. I also give and bequeath to Mary Blaber daughter of the foresaid Samuel Blaber two hundred pounds likewise all my plate china glass two feather beds with blankets and quilts two pair of mahogany drawers and chests with my wearing apparel linen a knife case with twelve silver handle knives and forks and for time piece dressing glass with books. I also give and bequeath to Susanna Whitfield and to Elizabeth Lewes Mistress of Poor House in Bare land all the remains of my goods and chattels to be equally divided between Susanna Whitfield & Elizabeth Lewes this is my last request and desier if the said Eliz Lewes should depart out of this world before my decease it is my last Will and Testament that Susanna Whitfield should have the part of the deceased Elizabeth Lewes. I Mary Clifford request that the [BLANK] in West Gate Street Gloucester be sold and that money belonging to to legatee to be placed in the Bank of England and as they come of age to receive the same with lawful intress. And all the remains of my money matters I bequeath to Samuel Blaber or his wife Sarah Blaber wife of the said Samuel Blaber after my funeral expences be paid and all cleared off the remainder thereof to go to Samuel Blaber wife or heirs Executrix Elizabeth Lewes and Sarah Blaber with the sum of ten pounds to be paid after my interment. I make this as a Codicall to my Will & bequeath and give to said Elizabeth fifty pounds to be paid to E Lewes at my decease. M Clifford

NB Further more if the said E Lewes as any lawful debts against me it shall be paid to her for truth & sincerity to the Mary Clifford. November the 28 18021

Samuel John BLABER and Sarah BATCHELOR were married after 1806.42 Sarah BATCHELOR was born about 1781 in Surrey, England.43 She lived at High Street in Epsom, Surrey, England in 1841.43 Possibly living in the home of John Collins, 60, a Feather Seller. She died about 1843 at the age of 62 in Epsom, Surrey, England.44

Edward BLABER45,46 was born on 29 June 1813 in Epsom, Surrey, England.39,47,48,49,50,51,52 He was christened on 25 January 1828 in Epsom, Surrey, England.39,50,53 He lived at High Street in Epsom, Surrey, England in 1841.54 In 1841 Edward was a Bedstead Maker.54 He lived at the Duke of Wellington Public House, High Street in Epsom, Surrey, England in 1861.55 At the 1861 census, Edward was a boarder at the pub. No occupation is given. Between 1871 and 1881 he was a Painter.45,46 Edward lived at Waterloo Road in Epsom, Surrey, England in 1871.46 He was unmarried and a lodger at the house of Henry Knowles and family.
He lived at Epsom Union Workhouse, Dorking Road in Epsom, Surrey, England in 1881.45 He died in May 1881 at the age of 67 in Epsom, Surrey, England.56 Edward was buried on 28 May 1881 at Epsom Cemetery in Epsom, Surrey, England.57

Samuel John BLABER and Mary GREAM were married before 1803. Mary GREAM34 died before 1806.
