Ronald Frederick Charles "Ron" BLABER¹⁰¹⁴ was born on 6 June 1920 in Newhaven, East Sussex, England.^{1015,1016,1017} He was described as of medium complexion with blue eyes and dark brown hair on 31 August 1936.¹⁰¹⁶ He served in the Merchant Navy from 31 August 1936.¹⁰¹⁶ Ronald did delivery work for a baker, fish monger and worked in a wine merchants before joining the Merchant Navy. He served as a Deck Boy on his first ship the 'Edinburgh Castle' in 1936. He travelled to and from East Africa on the Union Castle Line. During WWII he went into the Royal Navy and was on a destroyer until the end of the war. Ron worked as a builder following the war.
Ron ran his building/decorating/repairs business in 1964–1981 in Seaford, East Sussex, England.¹⁰¹⁸ From 1964-1973 it was based in 193 Vale Road.
From 1975-1981 it was based in 28 Grosvenor Road.
In 1984 it was listed as being located at 14 Bramber Road.
It is possible that all these addresses were also his residential address.
In 1987 he was a Retired Builder.¹⁰¹⁹ He lived at Flat 12, Croft Court, Croft Lane, BN25 1SB in Seaford, East Sussex, England in 2003.¹⁰²⁰ Ron lived at Flat 6, Croft Court, Croft Lane, BN25 1SB in Seaford, East Sussex, England in 2006–2007.¹⁰²¹ In 2008 he was a writer of poetry and short stories.⁹⁹² In later life, Ronald had difficulty with his eyesight as a writer. He authored the book "Knight on a Bike".
He died on 13 November 2014 at the age of 94 in Seaford, East Sussex, England.^{1022,1023,1024} Ron had his estate probated on 20 May 2015 in Brighton, East Sussex, England.¹⁰²⁴
