11. Rhoda "Rodie" BLABER⁴ was born on 28 July 1824 in Southover, Lewes, East Sussex, England.^{34,143,144,145} Aged 34 at marriage. She was christened on 22 August 1824 in Wesleyan Methodist Church, St Mary's Lane, Lewes, East Sussex, England.^30,146 She lived at High Street in Lewes, East Sussex, England in 1841.¹³⁰ In 1841 Rhoda is living with her sister Sarah and family. Rodie lived at 21 Hanvover Crescent in Brighthelmston (Brighton), East Sussex, England in 1851.^147,148 At the 1851 census, Rhoda was a live-in servant at the home of Archibald Dyer (62, Esquire of the Order of the Bath) and his wife Mary Ann (52). Mary Ann Dyer died in 1857 and in her will she left to "Rhoda Blaber, my servant, the sum of Ten Pounds Sterling and [something for] Mourning". In 1851 she was a Housemaid.¹⁴⁷ She lived at home in Lewes, East Sussex, England in 1871.⁴⁴ She is by now recorded as a widow. Rodie died in 1891 at the age of 67 in Lewes, East Sussex, England.¹⁴⁹

Rhoda "Rodie" BLABER and John CLEGG were married on 1 January 1859 in St Nicholas' Church, Brighton, East Sussex, England.²⁶ They²⁶ lived at Loretto Lodge in Inveresk, Midlothian, Scotland in 1861.^44,150 John CLEGG, son of William CLEGG, was born about 1827 in Dundonald, Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland.^26,151,152 Aged 32 at marriage. Between 1851 and 1861 he was a Gunner in the Royal Artillery.^150,151 He died before 1871 at the age of 44.¹⁵¹
