100. Revd. Canon Bruce Alastair RATHBONE⁷³⁹ was born in 1929 in Alberta, Canada.⁶²⁹ He was a Priest of the Anglican Church of Canada.⁶²⁹ Bruce died peacefully in St. Paul's Hospital on September 11, 1993. He received his early schooling in Alberta and in Manitoba. The same year as he began his theological studies at St. John's College, Winnipeg, he married Daphne Pratt. After his ordination, he first served in the parish of Stonewall, MB. and then joined the armed forces, where he served as a Chaplain on the Bases at Senneterre, PQ and Chatham, NB. The family then moved to Alberta, where Bruce was rector in the parishes of Rocky Mountain House, Athabasca and Fort McMurray. In 1981, he began his ministry at St. James' Anglican Church, Saskatoon and was there until ill health forced him to take an early retirement in 1990.
He died of cancer on 11 September 1993 at the age of 64.⁶²⁹
